Came here on my first night at Trieste back on March 22nd. When I told them that I have a reservation in Italian, they were very welcoming and seated me. What I remember is that I had a Veggie Soup with Chocolate Cake. It was really good and the place inside was beautiful as well.

We had the Cacio e Pepe and Ragu, and they were both amazingly delicious! The staff were nice, atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. A must visit when in Trieste! I recommend booking a table, you can easily do that 1-day in advance.

This place is a bit off the beaten track and was a recommendation. I am really grateful that I had the chance to experience this little gem. It's a special place not just because of the ambience and atmosphere but also because of the truly amazing food. Food is homemade and very tasty. The menu is written on a chalkboard and you get a great explanation of every dish. With your food you can select from a wide range of wines to accompany your meal. Service is incredibly friendly and prices are more than fair. I will definitely come back and I strongly recommend this place to others. Your taste buds would really miss out on a great experience. My sincere Thanks to the entire team for this very pleasurable moment which was definitely a highlight of my Trieste visit.

The food here is really solid: their cacio e pepe is excellent, their chocolate cake delectable and their seared tuna with seasonal vegetables decent (albeit a little overcooked). The natural wines are also good. Prices are a little on the steeper end for Trieste and the portion size but as a tourist it’s more than reasonable.

We came for dinner on our last night in Trieste and are so glad we found this amazing place! The food was delicious, the pasta was being hand made in the corner of the restaurant by what looked like the restaurant‘s „resident grandparents“, the wines were fantastic and service lovely. It was so nice we would consider a trip just to come back to this place!

Beautiful dinner. We stumbled upon the restaurant and it ended up being one of the best meals of our vacation. Service was lovely, with fantastic natural wine recommendations. They were some of the most unique, fragrant wines we’ve had. We ordered two pasta dishes (pasta with beef ragout and a spaghetti with garlic pesto) with a green salad and tiramisu for dessert. Everything exuded freshness and was clearly made with care. Thanks for a delicious meal!

This restaurant is a neighborhood gem, serving amazing freshly homemade breakfast, lunch and dinner. We went there several times during our stay and tried many of their breakfast lunch and dinner dishes. For breakfast I really like their yoghurt bowl, and, as some other google reviewers noted, the scones are easily the best scones I remember ever having (even better than what I remember having in the U.K). If you’re there for breakfast, do not miss their scones! As for their lunch and dinner menus, their pasta dishes are absolutely amazing! In fact, you can sometimes watch their pasta chef making pasta right in front of you (I later found out that they offer pasta-making classes at this location!). I loved the truffle tagliatelle, simply amazing! I also really loved the meat ragu tagliatelle—it’s the best bolognese sauce pasta I’ve ever had (and I’ve been to many Italian cities at many restaurants, and I’m usually not a bolognese pasta fan, but this one really won me over). I also really liked the burrata and tomato appetizer, as well as the eggplant on bread appetizer. Now the dessert: the passion-fruit crème brûlée is truly excellent! Their coffee drinks are also very good (the iced coffee is very good!) The restaurant is not very big so I recommend making a reservation on their busy nights and also for weekend brunches. They do have a couple large tables for accommodating large parties (of maybe 10 people?) Lastly, I notice some google reviews complain about the portion size: I personally find the portion size to be perfect as I find the portion sizes at some other Trieste restaurants too big and often times I feel too full after eating one main dish, so this place has the perfect portion size for me.
